Betsy Foss-Campbell, MA, Regulatory Policy Strategist, is a strategic regulatory policy and intelligence consultant with focused expertise in the cell and gene therapy space. She has a unique ability to identify challenges and trends in the field and to develop and advocate for regulatory policy solutions to best serve the needs of patients, clients, and the field.
Ms. Foss-Campbell has over 30 years of professional experience spanning varied areas. Prior to consulting, she has served in senior nonprofit management roles, including Executive Director-level leadership, with an emphasis in scientific association management. Her work is also informed by a 15-year background in direct healthcare service.
Most recently she was the Director of Policy and Advocacy at the American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy, where she oversaw regulatory and public policy advocacy. While at ASGCT, Ms. Foss-Campbell also launched multiple new initiatives, including a patient education program, global outreach efforts, and diversity and inclusion research awards.
In her current role with Catalyst Healthcare Consulting, she continues to work across the cell and gene therapy field, advising individual companies and working with alliances of thought leaders to advocate for shared regulatory priorities in the space. Her clients include biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, nonprofit and trade organizations, and governmental entities.
Ms. Foss-Campbell received master’s degrees in political science and communication from Marquette University and a BS in occupational therapy from the University of Wisconsin.
